↠ Age: March 1, 1978 (age 30)
↠ Reference/History: Wiki.
↠ Powers / Abilities: Dean is a hunter and skilled in hand-to-hand combat, marksmanship, swordsmanship (or hacking and slashing) and tactician. He might act immature at times but Dean is an excellent hunter and is even complimented at being better than his father. He knows a lot about the Supernatural world and is a natural born leader and strategist. He would be a better strategist if he didn't have a soft heart and want to save everyone. He's an expert mechanic and cook. He has a a very high pain tolerance and skilled at surviving any situation.
Dean has the ability to use basic spells (such as location spells and talking to animals) in the Supernatural world however since these spells aren't related to his own power but the canon's environment and ingredients, they will only work in City of Sin on a case by case basis. Most likely won't work. I will do the research and contact a mod should a spell come up that has the potential to work.
↠ Languages: English.
↠ Inventory: Colt 1911, an extra clip of ammo with it, a boot knife, his necklace and a fake FBI ID, wallet, a plaid shirt over a T-shirt, jeans, and boots, his fathers leather jacket.
↠ What is Your Character's Sin?: Pride
Dean Winchester is a very dynamic character who changes rapidly throughout the series. Due to his experiences and deaths, the characters that define him, and subsequently his sin, drastically changes between seasons. I have chosen to take him from the end of Season 3, prior to his trip to hell.
Dean sells his soul at the end of season two for Sam's resurrection after the gates of hell were opened. This action was as much a point of pride, and not wanting to fail his father who had died for him, as it was a desperate attempt not to lose his brother. You see it time and again in this series but the Winchesters and particularly Dean, feel as if he is above the natural order when it comes to him, his brother and the inevitability of death. It is not because Dean thinks that they are better than anyone else, in fact he gets down on himself a lot, but it is a point of pride that the Winchester family always has each other's backs. It is a constant through the series and while eventually other traits shine brighter than this pride, it is always there. He is proud to be a Winchester, a hunter and Sam's brother.
The contract and his interactions with Sam during his 'last year on earth' show how damn prideful Dean Winchester can be. He cannot back out of the contract because there is a clause in the contract that states that Sam will go to hell in Dean's place if he tries to escape the deal and Dean cannot let that happen. He also avoids telling his brother of that clause for as long as he can manage. It is because of this that Dean's attempts at escaping the deal are halfhearted. The only task, other than hunting, that he pours himself into is killing Lilith who, besides holding his contract, is also someone Dean dislikes on principle.
Dean takes pride in his work as a hunter and he defines himself by his ability to protect people from the things that go bump in the night. It might be a family business that he was born into but it is what Dean feels accomplished doing and he is proud to be his father's son; the hunter. He is also a little too prideful at times and will completely disregard Sam's comments or plans if they conflict with his own. He is the older brother, the seasoned hunter and he knows best. Even in the later season when he takes a break, he admits that he couldn't be truly happy without being able to hunt and protect.
This trait of pride is also reflected in the way that Dean feels about his car and the non-hunter aspects of his life. The way he treats his car throughout the series is the biggest indicator. He even goes so far to call the Impala 'Baby', like its a child that he is proud of.
Dean Winchester also feels pride when it comes to women, having the ability to flirt and pick up girls with ease. He's cocky and full of himself about it and he never lets Sam forget how awesome he is. He also uses the word 'Awesome' a lot. This point leads into the way that Dean presents Sam to a third person. He frequently needs to appear cooler than Sam and manages to look hurt on the rare chances that Sam is more charming than he is.
There are a lot of other traits to Dean Winchester and he has many aspects of the seven deadly sins but at this canon point, Pride literally sends Dean to Hell.
