Seasons Summary Cheat Sheet

SEASON 1

Looking for their father and the "yellow eyed" demon that killed their mother. Sam begins to find his powers. The season ends with the brothers and their father involved in a car crash when a truck hits the side of the Impala.

SEASON 2

Starts with their father trading himself to save Dean. The brothers get over that death while hunting the "yellow eyed" demon. Sam is taken with the other "chosen children" and Dean makes a deal with a crossroads demon to get Sam back. This is where he has one year before his soul is collected. They also close that portal and kill the "yellow eyed" demon. (I can't spell his name Az something.)

SEASON 3

Dealing with Dean having only a year left. They track down the demons that got lose and this is the season where they meet Rudy and we the audience meet Bela. They also find out that Lilith has the contract on Dean's soul. They try to kill her. Fuck it up. Then Dean goes to hell! And it feels like something close to 40 years for Dean.

SEASON 4

Cas brings Dean back from hell! This season is all about killing Lilith and Sam being depressing and having sex with Ruby. Lots of arguing. More than usual. Sam should have listened to Dean because he kills Lilith and releases Lucifer with her death. The angels don't really tell the brothers much and they decide that their on their own side by the end of this season. Cas has Dean torture a demon :(

SEASON 5

This season is all about stopping Lucifer and the apocalypse. This is when the angels want Deans body and Lucifer wants Sam and it's a mess. Cas is pretty awesome during this. Eventually Michael takes over Dean and Sam's half brother. Sam takes Lucifer into him. Death gives them the ring. Sam jumps into a hole. (Not in that order.)

SEASON 6

One year later! Dean has a life... ish. Turns out that Sam is not dead but he has no soul. So he is still depressing. The demons are looking for Purgatory. They use the source of the inhuman races to do this. Cas is also and aligns with Crowley because he's a fan of bad decisions for the greater good. Cas absorbs the souls from Purgatory and claims to be God and kills a lot of angels. Crowley is pissed. Dean and Sam are worried.

SEASON 7

The Leviathans are inside of Cas and try to break free. They send the souls back to Purgatory except for the Leviathans. They spend all season fighting the Leviathans. Body does haunt them for a little bit too. Sam see's visions of Lucifer because of the two brothers he's the only one who's been to hell and back. (Seriously they need to talk more.) They finally kill Dick, the leader of the Leviathans. Kevin helps!

Dean and Cas get dragged to Purgatory and Sam does nothing to help D:

SEASON 8

Dean returns without Cas and blames himself for leaving Cas behind. :( He also brings back Benny who is awesome. Castiel is brought back by Naomi who is using Cas. They find the "Men of Letter" bunker which is cool. They figure out that there are three trials that can lock the Gate of Hell for good. Sam completes two. Dean doesn't finish the last trial because he doesn't want to kill Sam for the greater good. Metatron, tricks Castiel into completing a series of trials at this time that lock all of the angels out of Heaven. In the process of this, Castiel losses his Grace.

SEASON 9

Cas has a target on his back but he's actually doing better away from the angels and Heaven. Angel war! Crowley goes through the process of turning human and gets addicted to human blood. Sam has an angel in his head that saves him and Dean doesn't tell him. They try and find a way to get the angels back to Heaven but Kevin is killed and shit hits the fan. They then try to kill Metatron and his lackies but also has to find the First Blade to kill Abaddon. A lot happens. Dean kills Abaddon and Castiel defeats Metatron after a repentant Gadreel sacrifices himself to let Castiel confront Metatron directly, but Metatron kills Dean, causing Dean to become a demon due to the influence of the Mark of Cain.

SEASON 10

Dean is a demon! He chills with Crowley for awhile but eventually Sam finds him. Sam and Cas cure him of his demon status. Dean still has the mark and it's a problem. He kills lots of people and kind of blacks out from time to time. Also Rowena shows up and makes things complicated. The book of the Damned helps them remove the Mark of Cain but Dean can't kill Sam. (As is usually the issue). Kills death instead and releases the evil that the Mark of Cain was holding back.

SEASON 111

Turns out that evil was God's sis Darkness and she has the hots for Dean.
